India to begin domestic flights in a calibrated manner from May 25, 2020

Kohima, May 20 (NE): As nationwide lockdown enters its fourth phase since May 18, 2020, India to recommence domestic civil aviation in a calibrated manner from May 25, 2020.

Taking to twitter, Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri said, ‘Domestic civil aviation operations will recommence in a calibrated manner from Monday 25th May 2020.’

‘All airports and air carriers are being informed to be ready for operations from 25th May,’ tweets Hardeep.

‘Standard Operating Protocols for passenger movement are also being separately issued by Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India,’ he added.

Earlier, as a measure to contain the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak, India has suspended all domestic flights in the midnight of March 24, 2020.

As the nation enters 56th day into lockdown, Government of India is slowly easing up the measures while keeping all safety precautionary and SOPs mandatory for the passengers.
