Governor RN Ravi, CM Neiphiu Rio & Dy. CM Y Patton Extends Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah Greetings

Kohima, January 19 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton extended Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah greetings to the Khiamniungan brothers and sisters and to the people of Nagaland.

The Governor in his greetings message said that this festival advocates peaceful co-existence, friendship and reconciliation. It is a time of thanksgiving for the year’s harvest.

He also mentioned that this vibrant festival provides a platform for the youngsters to learn the rich and unique cultural values of the Khiamniungans.

Further, the Governor Ravi urged everyone to celebrate this beautiful festival following Covid-19 SOPs.

The Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio greeted, ‘Happy Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah to the Khiamniungan community. May the festival of thanksgiving usher in a prosperous year and may the Almighty help you triumph over adversities’.

The Dy.CM in his greetings message said that the festival is celebrated after all agricultural activities are done. During this time making and renewing friendships is to last a lifetime according to ancient practices which needs to be emulated by today’s generation, he added.
