Kohima, January 19 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton extended Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah greetings to the Khiamniungan brothers and sisters and to the people of Nagaland.
The Governor in his greetings message said that this festival advocates peaceful co-existence, friendship and reconciliation. It is a time of thanksgiving for the year’s harvest.
He also mentioned that this vibrant festival provides a platform for the youngsters to learn the rich and unique cultural values of the Khiamniungans.
Further, the Governor Ravi urged everyone to celebrate this beautiful festival following Covid-19 SOPs.

The Dy.CM in his greetings message said that the festival is celebrated after all agricultural activities are done. During this time making and renewing friendships is to last a lifetime according to ancient practices which needs to be emulated by today’s generation, he added.
