Dimapur, November 17 (NEx): One car was gutted in a fire breakout at 4th Mile in Dimapur on Tuesday. No casualty reported.
Kenny Khing, R. O (E), Fire & Emergency Services, Nagaland informed that on receiving a fire call from 4th Mile, near P/S Diphupar, Dimapur at 1:02 pm on November 17, 2020, Fire & Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Chumoukedima and Fire Station Dimapur (Central) to control the fire.
Accordingly, three Fire Tenders along with sufficient Equipments & Fire Personnel were pressed into action. One Maruti 800 (2006) was gutted in the inferno. Property worth 2 Lakhs approximately was lost in the inferno, Khing informed.
There was no casualty and the cause of fire is due to leakage of oil while work is on progress at the workshop, the RO reported.
The response team was led by Duty Commander, S.I Kenyuyhun Kent and S.I C. Baushong Phom, he added.
