Dimapur, March 02 (NE): Dimapur Police clarifies on a viral video going around in social media platforms, saying – “Burma Camp, Dimapur tension between Nagaland & Assam side, happening today” – unquote, is an outdated clip which is being circulated, said a notification from Dimapur Police, today, March 02, 2020.
The public are advised to refrain from circulating unverified videos on the social media especially in connection with an outdated clip of a commotion in Burma camp area. Needless to mention that such irresponsible activity will attract punitive action under relevant section of law, added the notification.
NagalandExpress has got the footage of forty-six seconds video, which was going viral in social media platforms, creating panic situations on the wake of yesterday’s ILP confusion at the Assam-Nagaland gate at Dimapur.
It will be the responsibility, particularly for admins of the social media groups and the individuals to restrain from sharing such unverified video as it may be a matter of creating problems and tension between the two states.
Various social media platforms will come to Police radar like it happened few years back, if not prevented by admins of the groups. Netizens have no problem of uploading anything, but it is the sole responsibility for admins to act smart from now on. Believe, it or not, in other states Police have already been very stringent as the whole of India is currently under influence of pro & anti CAA issues and others.
It is important to note that Nagaland will soon be taking strict measures as orders come in from higher authorities.
