Kohima, July 14 (NEx): Nagaland Government today extended the existing guidelines with regard to the lockdown in all parts of Nagaland uptill July 31st 2020.
A notification issued by the Nagaland Chief Secretary, Temjen Toy IAS said that, in continuation to the office order dated June 29, 2020, existing guidelines with regard to the lockdown in all parts of Nagaland shall continue to remain operative up till July 31st, 2020.
In the backdrop of continuous spike in COVID-19 positive cases and also to contain the spread of the virus, the existing lockdown, which was imposed in the State till July 15, 2020 has been extended till July 31, 2020. The decision was taken by the High Powered Committee (HPC) on COVID-19 under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on July 10, 2020.
Nagaland has 896 COVID-19 positive cases confirmed as on 03:00 pm, today. Among the confirmed cases, 340 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and the active cases in the state now stands at 556.
