Kohima, May 25 (NE): Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader who is also Minister in charge of Home department, Shri Y. Patton appealed to the people of the state to maintain calm amidst Corona virus scare, wherein it was reported that some returnees have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.
The Dy. CM maintained that the virus is here to stay, and the only way to stay safe is adhering to self discipline and cooperating with the frontline warriors, who are tirelessly working as our shield.
A notification to Nagaland Express as on May Twenty Five, he asserted that the biggest challenge ahead will be to do away with the stigmatization associated with it. Patton urged the people to come forward to avail treatment if they experience COVID-19 like symptoms, because early detection can break the chain of spreading and early recovery of those infected.
He thanked the frontline workers, Civil societies, donors and all individuals joining in to fight the pandemic cutting across political affiliations and denominations, while assuring that Home department will spare no effort to extend every possible help towards the global war against COVID-19, keeping in mind the common slogan “Together we will win”, it said.
