Directorate of School Education (DoSE) government of Nagaland notifies on cancellation of winter vacation; 12 days break on account of Christmas & New Year

Kohima, November 27 (NEx): The Directorate of School Education, Government of Nagaland on Friday informed that the winter vacation declared to schools functioning under Department of School Education, Nagaland via office notification dated December 09, 2020 stands cancelled.

The Principal Director, DoSE, Shanavas C IAS informed that the schools shall remain closed on account of Christmas and New Year Holidays from December 23, 2020 to January 03, 2021 and shall resume functioning from January 04, 2021.

Shanavas further directed all School heads, teachers and other staff to remain in their respective place of posting with effect from January 04, 2021, and continue with the activities related to the online/offline Continuous Learning Programs for all the classes and other training programs to be launched by the department.

However, separate notification will be issued regarding the reopening of the schools for the academic session 2021, till that, schools shall not ask for students to come for regular classes for 2021 academic session, he added.

The PD also informed that remedial classes for class 10, 11 and 12th shall continue, which will be notified by Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). This notification is in pursuance of the government order dated November 23, 2020.
