Kohima, July 16 (NEx): Nagaland Deputy CM Y Patton, along with other Legislators tested negative for COVID-19 in their second test in Nagaland. For the safety of everyone, legislators go into institutional Quarantine on their return from an official visit to New Delhi, informed Deputy CM Y Patton, today.
Taking to twitter, Deputy CM Y Patton said, ‘My colleagues and I have reached Nagaland. While we tested negative for the virus in Delhi as well as in Nagaland, for the safety of everyone, we’ll be under Institutional Quarantine as per the existing #COVID_19 SOP in the State. Nevertheless, I’ll keep discharging my duties, – tweets Patton.

During official visits to New Delhi, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, Health Minister, S Pangnyu Phom, PHED Minister, Jacob Zhimomi, Soil & Water Conservation, W&CD Minister Kashiho Minister, Sangtam and MLA Dr Longrineken had undergone COVID-19 test at Delhi following the report of a driver and some staffs of Nagaland House Delhi testing positive for COVID-19.
The first results from Delhi turned negative for all the legislators from Nagaland, including Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, informed Deputy Chief Minister’s Office on Wednesday.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also goes into self Quarantine on return from Delhi today. Chief Minister will continue discharging his duties during Quarantine period, informed CM Rio via tweet.
