Kohima, April 06 (NE): As Nagaland battles against the Covid-19 pandemic along with the rest of the world, Deputy Commissioner, Kohima issues new order as a precautionary measure to contain and prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Kohima district with immediate effect.
The new order issued today, April 06, 2020 is in partial modification of the order dated March 25, 2020, with the following directives for the strict compliance of all concerned.
Grocery shops, bakery, vegetable vendors and shops selling essential commodities are permitted to open only three days in a week- Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the lockdown period.
Only one member of each family shall be permitted to come out of their homes for procurement of essential commodities from the market.
The movements of all vehicles shall he totally restricted except those vehicles which have the explicit permission.
Only Pharmacies are permitted to remain open from Monday to Saturday.
However, official staff belonging to medical /police /district administration /paramilitary / media / vehicle carrying essential commodities with prior permission / emergency medical cases are exempted from the purview of this order, said the order issued by Gregory Thejawelie NCS, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, today.
