Kohima, April 23 (NE): In an interesting twist to the confidential data leakage of stranded citizens from Nagaland governments’ official website ‘Iamstranded’, an update from the government on data leakage said, ‘it is suspected that one of the office bearers leaked the data in social media.’
In a breaking news covered by NagalandExpress on Wednesday about a major security breach which caused leakage of hundreds of confidential data submitted by stranded citizens had put a question on the privacy of the datas. As per the report, hundreds of citizens’ details which includes name, mobile number, Aadhaar number, Bank account number, IFSC code, family contact information, address, etc. were leaked and shared in different social media and messaging app.
An update from the government on this data leakage said, “Data of stranded people who had submitted their data in Iamstranded portal was compiled and sent to different Organizations / Unions in different states to verify the details and revert back”, it added.
Further it said, “It is suspected that one of the office bearers leaked the data in social media. Matter is under examination and Investigation by Cyber Cell, PHQ, Kohima”
