COVID-19 vaccination dry run started in Nagaland

Kohima, January 02 (NEx): The second phase of the COVID-19 vaccine dry run started across the country today, January 02, 2021. In Nagaland, dry run for COVID-19 vaccination was held at School of Nursing, District Hospital Dimpur from 09:00 am, this morning.

As informed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the dry run for COVID-19 vaccine administration is conducted in all States/Union Territories today in 116 districts across 259 sites.

Meanwhile, the Union Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan appealed to the people not to be misguided by rumours regarding safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccine. We will not compromise on any protocol before approving a vaccine, Health Minister assured today.

The dry run is a mock exercise to prepare the administration for the final vaccination drive. In the first phase, two days dry run for COVID-19 vaccination was held in four states – Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Assam on December 28 and 29, 2020.
