CM Rio sanctions 21.60 cr more to combat Covid-19 pandemic

Kohima, March 29 (NE): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today took to social media to announce the sanction of additional Rs. 21.60 crores to strengthen the capacity of Health and Family Welfare department of Nagaland in responding to the threat of Covid-19.

The amount was sanctioned to extend logistical support to quarantine centres and hospitals for better management and efficiency’ – CM Rio tweets.

I have urged Health and Family Welfare department, GoN to leave no stone unturned to have the required facilities put in place at the earliest and also ensure that our doctors and health workers are provided with all necessary safety equipments to help them work with confidence, Rio added.

Nagaland Government is arranging a special aircraft through the Indian Air Force to air drop essential and emergency health equipments like PPE kit, emergency medicines for private hospitals and equipments for disaster management.
