Kohima, July 29 (NEx): Advisor for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resource Development, Government of Nagaland, R Khing tested negative for COVID-19, but inspite of the result being negative, he went into self Quarantine as two of his support staffs tested COVID positive.
As per protocol, ahead of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, one day session scheduled for July 30, 2020, COVID-19 test for all the Hon’ble Ministers/Advisors/MLAs and the Officers and Staff of the Assembly Secretariat, was conducted from July 26 to 28, 2020.
The test result for Advisor, R Khing turned negative for COVID-19. Unfortunately, two support staff tested positive and are shifted to Covid Care Centre.

Meanwhile, Commissioner & Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, informed that the 24 Legislators and their drivers and bodyguard who underwent COVID-19 test on July 26, 2020 at the Old Chief Minister’s Bungalow, Kohima have been declared negative through BSL-3 lab at NHAK. The test results of July 27 & 28 are awaited, he added.
