More than 7000 returnees form applied by Nagaland citizens stranded outside the state within 5 hours

Kohima, May 08 (NE): The Nagaland government opened online registration for Nagaland citizens stranded outside the State, today, May 08, 2020 at 12 noon. Within 5 hours, more than 7000 applications were submitted through the government official website by citizens across the country.

Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu today, while briefing on COVID-19 status in the state said that ‘the Government of Nagaland launched returnees’ declaration form in the website today.

Nagaland citizens stranded in different parts of the country can register themselves to come back to Nagaland either on their own arrangement by Road (e-Pass) or by arrangements to be made by the State Government.’

As on 5 pm today, 33 people have applied for e-Passes and 7015 have requested government arrangement for transportation, he added.

Special trains or Buses as per the requirement will be arranged to bring back the stranded people after sorting out the data of the applicants, said Neiba.

Returned citizens will have to undergo mandatory quarantine in government quarantine centre for 21 days, informed the government.

The nCOVID19 Nagaland and Aarogya Setu mobile app has been made mandatory for all the returnees.

Further, returnee shall not be allowed to leave Nagaland for any reason until the lockdown is completely lifted.
