Kohima, June 10 (NE): Four buildings were gutted by fire in four different fire incidents which happened at Duncan Bosti, Notun Bosti Junction in Dimapur, Shanthan ward, Mon and Diphupar, Chumoukedima, informed a press release from Fire and Emergency Services department today, June 10, 2020.

Fire incidents at Dimapur:

On receiving a fire call from Duncan Bosti, Dimapur at 11:12 pm on June 07, 2020, the Fire and Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur West.

One Fire Tender along with sufficient equipments and Fire Personnel were rushed to the spot and contained the fire within 20 minutes. Property worth 2 Lakhs approximately was lost in the fire incident.

The response team led by Duty Commander ASI K. Hito, informed that the cause of the fire incident is due to short circuit. No Casualty was reported, said the Press release.

In another incident, the F&ES received a fire call was from Notun Bosti Junction, Dimapur at 03:05 pm on June 08, 2020.

The Fire & Emergency Services mobilised a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur West. Fire Personnel reached the incident site within 4 minutes.

One Fire Tender along with sufficient equipments and Fire Personnel were rushed to the spot and contained the fire within 34 minutes.

The response team was led by Duty Commander SI Thungathung T Shitiri.
The department further informed that property worth 2 Lakhs approximately was lost in the fire incident.

The cause of the fire incident is due to short circuit, and one Fire Personnel got injured while dousing the fire, informed the F&ES.

Fire incident at Mon:

The Fire & Emergency services on receiving a fire call from Shanthan Ward, Mon at 6:20 pm on June 09, 2020, mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Mon.

One Fire Tender along with sufficient equipments and Fire Personnel were rushed to the spot and contained the fire within 30 minutes.

Property worth 1.5 Lakhs approximately was lost in the fire incident. The cause of the fire incident is due to short circuit and no Casualty was reported. The response team was led by Duty Commander SI Tsarose S Sangtam, said the press release from the fire department.

Fire incident at Chumoukedima:

On receiving fire call from Diphupar ‘A’ B Khel, Chumoukedima at 11:45 am on June 10, 2020, the Fire & Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Chumoukedima. The Fire Personnel reached the incident site within 25 minutes.

Two Fire Tenders along with sufficient equipments and Fire Personnel were rushed to the spot and contained the fire within 20 minutes.

Property worth 25 Lakhs approximately was lost in the fire incident and no Casualty was reported. The cause of the fire is unknown while filing this report. The response team was led by Duty Commander ASI Thangpong Khiamniungan, said the press release.

Further it stated that, timely intervention of fire personnel managed to put the fire under control and prevented from further spreading to adjoining buildings.
