3 members ministerial team from Manipur visits Nagaland-Manipur border dispute areas on December 1

Dimapur, December 2, (NE): A three-member ministerial team from Manipur on Sunday, December one inspected the disputed border area between Tungjoy village, Manipur and Khezhakeno village, Phek district, Nagaland. A heated exchange of argument ensued between villagers of Tungjoy village, Senapati district, Manipur and villagers of Khezhakeno Village, Phek district, Nagaland, as three member ministerial team of Manipur along with villagers of Tungjoy came for the inspection.

According to a newspaper report, the case is very old, which is not solved yet. Due to this, a panel were made to solve in the Government level through dialogues and other means. The Government, on the other hand may look every part in detail to study for the final outcome concerning the border dispute between the two warring states on the issue. It also seems that the current location, of Hornbill Festival may fall under the said disputed land, as per report coming in from Manipur.

It will be seen to wisdom of both the state, which has been dragging long in matters of decades by one another- to solve amicably without touching any sentiments, a source close to the issue said on account of anonymity.
