Kohima, June 25 (NE): An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale occurred 9 km North-Northwest of Wokha in Nagaland at 03:03 am on Thursday, June 25, 2020, the National Centre for Seismology said in an official statement.
The depth of the quake was 6 km while the coordinates of the epicentre are 26.17 (latitude) and 94.24 (longitude).
Sixth earthquake in Mizoram:
Another earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale occurred 21 km south of Champhai, Mizoram on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 01:14 am. This is the sixth earthquake to rock the Northern state in five consecutive days.
The depth of the earthquake was 136 kilometres, while the coordinates of the epicentre are 23.26 (latitude) and 93.34 (longitude), said National Centre for Seismology in an official statement on Thursday.
Earlier, five earthquakes struck Mizoram between Sunday, and Wednesday causing damage to houses and cracks on roads at several places.
Meanwhile, details on casualty/damage was not available while filing this report.
