Kohima, May 14 (NE): A total of 1471 stranded citizens who have submitted ‘Returnee Form’ have voluntarily opted for staying back and registered for One-Time Financial Assistance of Rs.10,000 as on 04:30 pm today, May 14, 2020.
Earlier, Nagaland Government has received 18,255 applicants through ‘Returnees Form’ from the stranded citizens of Nagaland outside the state who are desirous to return to the state. The application was invited for three days from May 08 to May 11, 2020.
Nagaland Government on Wednesday opened the application form for One-Time Financial Assistance of Rs 10,000 for the stranded citizens of Nagaland outside the state who has already submitted the Returnees Declaration Form and who voluntarily opts to stay back where he/she is at present.
Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, IAS while briefing on COVID-19 status in the state said that till 04:30 pm today, out of the 18,255 who applied returnees declaration form; a total of 1,471 persons have voluntarily opted for staying back, and filled up the required form for availing the One-Time Financial Assistance of Rs 10,000 (ten thousand).
The application to avail One-Time Financial Assistance of Rs 10,000 was opened on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, 07:00 pm. The last date to fill the application is kept as May 16, 2020, 07:00 pm.
Anyone who wants to stay back and avail this One-Time Assistance may go to the https://iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in portal and fill up the form.
It also notified that the documents required to submit this application are: valid Aadhaar, valid bank passbook, Indigenous Inhabitant certificate or birth certificate issued by the Government of Nagaland.
The govt also assured that all efforts will be made to process the application for ONE TIME GRANT within 72 Hrs (Seventy Two hours) on Bank working days only, it added.
It further notified that Incorrect / Invalid Bank Account Numbers or IFSC will be summarily rejected.
